The new normal

An open letter to my puppies

Which one of you decided that 5:00AM
Would be the new normal?
I know that each morning it's a different
Pup who is elected to make the first noise...

It begins like this

Rrrrrrufffff

Oh, is someone here?

Let's check the driveway!

No, what about the back yard?

Do you see anyone?

No, do you?

Let's get mom, she'll know.

Oh! No!!!!

Where is she?

I know, I know!!!!!!

Under the covers.

I'll dig.

Is that where she is?

I'll just lay on her

Wait, I see her

Let me give her a kiss

She loves that.

No, I'll give her a kiss.

No, I'm still digging.

Emma, Lola, Gus, and Henry,
I truly love you all more than you can imagine
But if we could go back to beginning this little game
At 6:00
I'll be forever grateful
love,
mom

Hello Cheryl:
Oh but what an adorable way to start the day. Only the hardest of hearts could fail to be cheered by these gorgeous animals, whatever the time!

Fabulous post. I do love the golden color in your penultimate photo. And I am so with you re: "the new normal." You gotta keep these kids in line!

Love to know how you welcomed these pups into your life. All four. Did they come all at once? Who was first?
They are all gorgeous. Who needs an alarm when you have animals~

So cute! How can you resist those little faces? Though I have to admit 5am is pushing it:)
I hope they listen and you are blessed with an extra hour of sleep tomorrow morning!

5am?! Oh my, I admit that is only a time I see when I have either been up all night (and those days are long gone) or in need of catching a plane. You are a wonderful dog mom indeed but who could resist those wonderful faces? I love them all!

I love your puppies. How blessed you are to share your life with three of them ... even if they wake you at five.

A herd of labradors is just plain bliss, though not quite as blissful at 5 a.m.!
